Setting Up Email Reports
Getting started with Email Reports is simple and takes just a few minutes:
1. Enable Email Reports
Navigate to your WordPress admin area:
- Go to Activity Log Pro → Settings
- Scroll down to the Activity Digest Email Reports section
- Check the box next to “Enable automated activity digest reports”
- Click Save Changes to activate the feature
2. Choose Your Delivery Schedule
Select how often you want to receive reports:
Daily Reports
- Perfect for high-traffic sites requiring constant monitoring
- Covers the previous 24-hour period
- Ideal for e-commerce stores and membership sites
Weekly Reports (Recommended)
- Best balance of information and inbox management
- Covers the previous 7-day period
- Popular choice for business websites and blogs
Monthly Reports
- Comprehensive overview for established sites
- Covers the previous 30-day period
- Suitable for sites with moderate activity levels
3. Set Delivery Time and Day
Customize when your reports arrive:
For Weekly Reports:
- Choose any day of the week (Monday is popular for business reviews)
- Select your preferred time (8:00 AM is the default)
For Monthly Reports:
- Choose any day from the 1st to 28th of the month
- Pick your preferred delivery time
For Daily Reports:
- Set your preferred time for daily delivery
- Reports are sent automatically every day at your chosen time
Note: All times are based on your WordPress site’s timezone settings.
4. Configure Recipients
Add email addresses that should receive digest reports:
- In the Report Recipients field, enter email addresses
- One email address per line
- Invalid email addresses are automatically filtered out
- You can add multiple recipients (administrators, managers, team leads)

5. Preview and Test
Before going live, verify everything works correctly:

- Click Preview Report to see exactly how your digest will look
- Opens in a popup window with the actual email template

- Click Send Test Email to receive a sample report
- Sent to your WordPress admin email address
- Verifies email delivery and template rendering
