I’m excited to announce that Activity Log Pro version 1.0.2 is now available, and it comes with a feature I’ve been working on for a while – automated Activity Digest Email Reports. (ChangeLog | User Guide)
Never miss important site activity again
If you manage WordPress sites (and I’m guessing you do if you’re using Activity Log Pro), you know how easy it is to forget to check what’s been happening. Maybe you’re juggling multiple sites, or perhaps you just don’t have time to log in every day and review the activity logs. That’s exactly why I built the new Activity Digest Email Reports feature.
Now you can receive automated email summaries of your site’s activity delivered straight to your inbox on a schedule that works for you – daily, weekly, or even monthly.

Never miss important site activity again
When you enable email reports in Activity Log Pro, you get a beautifully formatted summary that includes total event counts for the period, a breakdown of activity by category (users, posts, plugins, settings, and more), and highlights of the most important changes on your site. Everything is presented in a clean, easy-to-read format that doesn’t overwhelm you with unnecessary details.
Setting it up is straightforward. Just head to your Activity Log Pro settings, activate the setting, choose your preferred schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly), add the email addresses of people who should receive the reports, and that’s it, you’re done. You can even select your timezone to make sure the emails arrive at a convenient time. And if you manage sites for clients or work with a team, simply add multiple email addresses – one per line – and everyone stays informed.
Before you enable the reports, you can preview exactly what the email will look like and even send yourself a test email to make sure everything is configured correctly. I wanted to make sure you feel confident about what you’re sending out before committing to a schedule.
The new ‘Email Schedule Status’ section shows you at a glance whether your scheduled emails are active, when the next report will be sent, and when the last one went out. This transparency means you’re never left wondering if the feature is working properly.
Quick filtering with hover actions
I’ve added a small but incredibly useful feature to make filtering your logs even easier. When you’re browsing through your activity logs, you’ll now see a small filter icon appear when you hover over any option name in the “Object” column.

Click that icon and you’ll get a quick popup asking if you want to add that specific option to your excluded list:

One-click filtering makes it easy to exclude noisy options without navigating to settings
The object is then automatically added to you exclusions link in settings:

This might seem like a small addition, but it makes a huge difference when you’re reviewing logs and spot something you don’t want to see again. Instead of having to remember the exact option name, navigate to settings, and manually add it to your exclusion list, you can now do it with just two clicks right from the logs page. It’s those little workflow improvements that make using Activity Log Pro feel smooth and intuitive.
Improved readability and UI enhancements
Beyond the headline features, I’ve made several improvements to make Activity Log Pro easier to use. The log descriptions now highlight “changed from” and “changed to” values with color-coding, making it much faster to spot what actually changed in your settings or content. No more squinting at similar-looking values trying to figure out what’s different.
I’ve also improved how arrays and objects are displayed in your logs. Instead of seeing unhelpful [array] placeholders, you now see the actual content, which makes troubleshooting and understanding what happened on your site much more straightforward.
The entire settings interface got some polish too, with improved layouts and professional status indicators that make it clearer what’s enabled and what’s not.
Getting the update
If you’re already using Activity Log Pro, you should see the update notification in your WordPress dashboard. Just update as you normally would, and all these new features will be ready to use immediately. Your existing logs and settings won’t be affected – everything just gets better. And the best part? All of these features are included in the free version for everyone.
If you haven’t tried Activity Log Pro yet, now is a great time to start keeping track of what’s happening on your WordPress site with detailed activity monitoring and these new automated email reports.
As always, if you run into any issues or have questions about the new features, don’t hesitate to reach out through the support forum. I’m here to help make sure Activity Log Pro works perfectly for your needs.
That’s it for this release, you can get the full ChangeLog here.
P.S a new Post-Types feature is brewing for the next release.
