Activity Log Pro v1.2.1 is out — for Free and Premium. v1.2.0 was about working with the log every day; this one is the practical follow-up: less noise in what you record, faster ways to find what matters, and (if you’re on Premium) a proper audit trail for email that leaves your site.

Quick Filters and active filter chips
If you live on the Activity Logs screen, you’ll feel this straight away. Quick Filters sit below the filter panel – Today, Failed logins, Security, Plugins, Users, Critical & High – so common investigations are one click instead of a little ritual of dropdowns and Apply. When you do filter the old-fashioned way, or click a username or severity on a row, your active filters show up as chips above the table. You can dismiss one at a time or clear the lot. It sounds small until you’re bouncing between “what happened today?” and “show me only the scary stuff,” and you always know exactly what view you’re looking at.
Excluded Roles and Excluded Users
Not everyone on a busy site needs every click in the audit trail. You can now exclude whole roles or named users (username or email, one per line) under Settings. Administrators can’t be excluded as a role – that stays intentional – and logins, logouts, and failed logins are always recorded even for excluded people, so security events don’t quietly disappear. If you exclude an admin user or your own account, you’ll get a warning first. Handy for service accounts, bots, or roles that would otherwise flood the log without adding much insight.
Email Logging (Premium)
WordPress sends a lot of mail – password resets, WooCommerce receipts, form notifications – and until now that traffic mostly lived outside your activity log. Email Logging (Premium) adds an optional record of outbound mail sent through wp_mail(): who it went to, subject, CC, BCC, From, and whether it sent or failed. Bodies and attachments are never stored – it’s metadata for accountability, not a mailbox archive. It’s off by default, and you can skip Activity Log Pro’s own digests and security alerts so you’re not logging the logger.
Polish and compatibility
Alongside the headline features, the Settings and Activity Logs screens got a bit of UI love so things line up and read more clearly. We’ve verified compatibility with WordPress 7.1.1, and language packs were refreshed for the new strings for both Free and Premium.
Update Now
v1.2.1 should appear in your WordPress dashboard shortly. Free gets Quick Filters, Filter Chips, Excluded Roles & Users, and the UI tweaks. Premium adds Email Logging on top of everything you already had from v1.2.0.
