We’ve just shipped Activity Log Pro v1.0.7. This release is really about one thing you’ll notice the moment you open your activity log: it’s easier to see what matters. (ChangeLog | User Guide)
Spot the important lines at a glance
We’ve added Logging Levels — we call it Severity — to every activity entry. Each row is labelled as Critical, High, Medium, Low, or Info, with a clear badge in the log table so your eye goes to the right place first.

You can also filter the admin log by Severity, the same way you’re already used to filtering by user or date. And if you export your logs or use the secure JSON or RSS feeds, severity travels with the data, which is handy if you archive logs elsewhere or plug them into another tool.
This is a free feature for everyone on 1.0.7+. If you want the full breakdown of what each level means and typical examples, we’ve published a guide here: Logging levels (Severity).
Security Alerts that respect your exclusions
If you use Excluded post types (Premium) to keep noisy or irrelevant content out of your logs, Security Alerts now follow the same rules. Alerts for publish, update, trash, delete — and related media — won’t fire for post types you’ve excluded, and attachments honour the same parent-type logic as logging.
Thanks to Julia Elliott for flagging this — it’s exactly the kind of real-world feedback that makes the product better for everyone.
A little extra context in your inbox
For Premium users who get Security Alert emails, we’ve added the site URL to the event details. When you’re watching more than one site, you’ll know immediately which installation the alert came from.
That’s 1.0.7 in a nutshell: clearer logs, tighter alerts, and one less thing to guess when an email lands in your inbox.

Getting the update
If you’re already on Activity Log Pro, the update will appear in your WordPress dashboard as normal. Your logs and settings stay exactly as they are – nothing to reconfigure.
If you’re not yet using Activity Log Pro, now’s a good time to start. The free plugin handles all the core WordPress tracking, and Premium adds the stuff like Security Alerts, WooCommerce and Yoast SEO logging, IP location mapping, and more.
As always, if anything isn’t working as expected or you have a question, drop by the support forum — I’m happy to help.
You can see the full list in the Changelog. If you’re on 1.0.5 or 1.0.6, upgrading to 1.0.7 is recommended.
